We had a magnificent day!
While Amy and Eileen prepared the Sage classroom for the pot luck, Emy, the children and I went for a walk to visit the residents. Our first stop was at the bird cage where we sang “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and the birds sang back. We then walked in the residents’ cafeteria and sang a song Josie taught us (possibly called “Down to the Sea”) and “If I had a Hammer.” The residents were thrilled to see us and asked us to come back again soon. On our way back to school we saw a rainbow!
The pot lucks were wonderful. Both classrooms were filled with delicious smells and full plates. Many children tried and enjoyed new foods and everyone left happy and full.
Thank you for helping make this special day a success.
Have a great week off. We will see you on Tuesday, December 2nd.
