our story

Puddletown started as a dream in the minds of Andrea Ludlow and Sam Montana Gardner. They met at a local Montessori school where Andrea was running the after-school theater program and Sam was teaching middle school. Once they realized their common goal, they began looking for a space, performed a puppet show at a local library as their first open house, and opened in September 2004 with one classroom and 20 eager children. Since then, Puddletown has grown to three mixed-age classrooms, serving from 60 to 70 families with children ages three to six. We continue to grow and learn from the children and families we meet each year.
