Thank you for coming out in droves to help at Woodstock Park this past weekend. Steve, our Portland Parks & Recreation connection, said he couldn’t believe how much we accomplished in such a short amount of time. We warned him we were a hard working bunch! We hope you all enjoyed the sunshine, a bit of outdoor labor, and that your children remember their important contribution whenever they play at Woodstock Park. Three cheers for community service!

Our new building!
Thank you to all the people who helped build the new elementary school this summer. Many hands made this project happen, and without all your help we would not be anywhere near done. Since the kick-off last spring at Puddletown Pride, our community has stepped up to make our new elementary school a reality.
A special thanks to a few super volunteers. Sandy Mills’ experience and knowledge were invaluable assets. His connections found us amazing sub-contractors and he helped chisel away at the mountain of labor. Eddie Parker came so many times and cheerfully took on parts of the job that would be put in the category of “least fun”. Crystal Schenk and Shelby Davis made so much work just disappear. Often we would come back and magically the fence would be removed or the floors patched or the soffits vented. David Perry was such a help as well, especially when we would come back to find plumbing fixtures installed, door hardware taken care of, or entire stairwells demolished.
We are touched by all the people who came by to help out. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Half day camp spa
During our half days, some of the Elementary students set up a spa. They used their homemade scrub and invited the Primary children to have a foot soak followed by a foot massage. .
