Tuition, Fees, and Financial Assistance

Puddletown School invites any child whose family is interested in Montessori education to apply for entrance to our programs, no matter a family’s financial situation. If attending Puddletown seems cost-prohibitive for your family’s current financial situation, please fill out this FACTS form so we can start a conversation about financial support.

Financial Assistance and Deductions

Sibling Discount 10% discount for siblings of enrolled Puddletowners
Pay in Full2% discount by paying full year tuition by September 15
6th Grade Capstone CreditFor every year a child is enrolled in our Elementary program, families are eligible to receive 10% off tuition for the 6th grade year.
Military Discount5% discount for active duty military families
Puddletown Scholarship FundTuition assistance is available to families with financial need. Begin by completing our FACTS form to determine eligibility. FACTS does have a fee, but families can let us know if that cost is prohibitive.
Equitable Commute DiscountEligibility determined by FACTS. This discount is for families of children whose primary residence is more than 6 miles from Puddletown School.
DHS Child Care AssistanceWe welcome tuition payments from Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Care Assistance funds

2025 – 2026 Tuition

Tuition reflects a 10 month school year, with tuition payments due September through June. 2025/26 Families enrolled in Preschool For All do not pay preschool tuition or preschool deposits/fees during their PFA enrollment period.

Fees and Deposits

Schoolwide Fees:
Next Year Deposit$800 yearly by February 1st to hold child’s space for the next school year. Will be deducted from the following September’s tuition. Not due the year you pay Program Deposit. Non-refundable
New Child Registration Fee$500 one-time fee when a child is newly enrolled in a program, due by deadline communicated in enrollment invitation email; holds the child’s spot in the program. Non-refundable, not deducted from tuition
Preschool/Kindergarten Program Fees:
Pre-K/K Activities & Materials Fee$300 yearly August 1st; goes toward consumables, supplies, material replacement, etc
Snack Fee$45 monthly for fresh fruit, vegetables and protein for snack and food activities
Pre-K/K Building Fee: Legacy Learners$200 yearly July 1st for children enrolled in the program prior to 2025; goes toward building upkeep and improvements
Pre-K/K Building Fee: 2025 enrollees$900 paid July 1st ahead of a child’s first year in the Preschool-Kindergarten program;
goes toward building upkeep and improvements
Nap mat and bedroll fee$75 one-time fee, due August 1st for newly enrolled children staying past 1:00 PM, under the age of 4.5
Program Deposit: Kindergarten/Leadership Year$1000 one-time fee paid in the first year a child is enrolled in the program, by February 1st, to commit to their enrollment through their kindergarten/leadership year. Will be returned via tuition credit in June of a child’s leadership year Non-refundable

Elementary Materials and Activities Fee$550 yearly August 1st; goes toward consumables, supplies, material replacement, field trips, going-out funds, etc.
Elementary Building Fee: Legacy Learners$200 yearly July 1st for children enrolled in the program prior to 2025; goes toward building upkeep and improvements
Elementary Building Fee: 2025 Enrollees$1200 paid July 1st ahead of a learners first year in the elementary program; goes toward building upkeep and improvements
Program Deposit: Third Grade$1000 one-time fee paid in the first year a child is enrolled, by February 1st, to commit to their enrollment through their 3rd grade year. Will be returned via tuition credit in June of a child’s 3rd grade year. Non-refundable

Middle School Materials and Activities Fee$1500 yearly August 1st; goes toward consumables, supplies, material replacement, field trips, going-out funds, etc.
Middle School Building Fee: Legacy Learners$200 yearly July 1st for learners enrolled in the program prior to 2025; goes toward building upkeep and improvements
Middle School Building Fee: 2025 enrollees$600 paid July 1st ahead of a learners first year in the middle school program; goes toward building upkeep and improvements
