Tuition, Fees, and Financial Assistance

Puddletown School invites any child whose family is interested in Montessori education to apply for entrance to our programs, no matter a family’s financial situation. If attending Puddletown seems cost-prohibitive for your family’s current financial situation, please fill out this FACTS form so we can start a conversation about financial support.

Financial Assistance and Deductions

Sibling Discount 10% discount for siblings of enrolled Puddletowners
Pay in Full3% discount by paying full year tuition by September 15
Elementary Capstone CreditFor every year a child is enrolled in our Elementary program, families are eligible to receive 10% off tuition for the 6th grade year.
Military Discount5% discount for active duty military families
Puddletown Scholarship FundTuition assistance is available to families with financial need. Begin by completing our FACTS form to determine eligibility. FACTS does have a fee, but families can let us know if that cost is prohibitive.
Equitable Commute DiscountEligibility determined by FACTS. This discount is for families of children whose primary residence is more than 6 miles from Puddletown School.
DHS Child Care AssistanceWe welcome tuition payments from Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Care Assistance funds

2023-24 Tuition

Tuition reflects a 10 month school year, with tuition payments due September through June.

Fees due in August are indicated below by a star (*).

*when space is available, drop-in care is $20/day with at least 24 hours notice

Fees and Deposits

Fees due in August are indicated below by a star (*).

Schoolwide:
* Building Fee$110 annually, paid in August unless otherwise requested by a family (can be distributed across the year). Goes toward ongoing improvements and maintenance.
Next Year Deposit$600 annually by February 1st to hold child’s space for the next school year. Will be deducted from the following September’s tuition. Not due the year you pay Program Deposit. Non-refundable
New Child Registration Fee$500 one-time fee, due by deadline communicated in enrollment invitation email. Non-refundable, not deducted from tuition
Preschool/Kindergarten Program Fees:
Primary Program Deposit$800, due by February 1st during first full year of enrollment in the Preschool-Kindergarten Program and holds child’s space until the program cycle at Puddletown is completed, through their leadership/kindergarten year. Will be deducted from the June tuition of the child’s kindergarten year. Non-refundable.
*Primary Activities and Materials Fee$200 annually, paid in August unless otherwise requested by the family. Goes toward consumables and classroom material replacement.
Snack Fee$35 monthly snack fee due with tuition. This fee is for organic ingredients for group snack and classroom baking/cooking ingredients.
Nap Mat and Bedroll Fee$50 one-time fee due with first tuition for new children of resting age (under 4.5 at time of entry) who are staying at school to nap or rest.
Elementary Program Fees:
Elementary Program Deposit$800, due by February 1st during first full year of enrollment in the Elementary Program and holds the child’s space through the first half of the Elementary cycle, through their 3rd grade year. Will be deducted from the June tuition of the child’s 3rd grade year. Non-refundable.
*Elementary Materials and Activities Fee$475 annually, paid in August unless otherwise requested by the family. Goes toward consumables, school supplies, Outdoor School and Going Out funds.
Adolescent Program Fees:
*Adolescent Materials and Activities Fee$1000 annually, paid in August unless otherwise requested by the family. Goes toward consumables, school supplies, bus pass, yearly class trip, Outdoor School and day-trip funds.
