Today Edie’s mom came to visit. She is a firefighter in Portland.
From the Sage classroom:
Yesterday Wendy went to a fire. Her clothes still smelled like smoke. She had a lot of pockets. Whenever they go to a fire, they have a buddy, just like at school.
From the Lavender classroom:
Wendy talked about fires. She puts fires out. If it is dark in a place that is on fire, she can follow her rope that leads to the doorway. She has a flashlight that she can turn on when it’s dark. She also has a wooden wrench for turning on and off the fire hydrants.
