We had a great time at Woodstock Park last Saturday at our 4th annual Work-A-Thon. We spent the day painting, raking, edging, mulching cleaning, and making the park more beautiful. We did all this while raising funds for Puddletown! Thank you to Portland Parks and everyone who lent a hand.

Elementary bake sale
Yesterday the elementary students had a bake sale to raise money for an upcoming field trip to Zenger Farm and other upcoming trips. The children spent Tuesday baking in the classroom and each elementary family contributed some homemade treats as well. The projected sales were somewhere around $68. This morning the children counted and recounted and the grand total raised is $150.97!! Oliver, Gus, Mary, Emmett and Raven are thrilled and are already talking about all the trips they will take.
Thanks to all of you who baked, bought and tipped!
Elementary bicycle workshop
Today Gus’ dad Erik, owner of Sellwood Cycle Repair, came to visit the elementary classroom to do a bicycle workshop.
“It was awesome.” – Emmett
“We inflated and deflated the tires.” – Oliver
“We have cards. We work for Erik now.”- Mary, Gus, Oliver and Emmett
He brought a min tool for each child to keep so that they can continue to work on bike repair with our donated, grease free bicycle that is available for the children to disassemble and reassemble as they become familiar with the parts and how they work.
Thanks Erik!
