Summer at Puddletown!

This week we spent tons of time in the garden – harvesting berries, greens, and peas, watering plants and playing in the sandbox! We learned a couple new songs, read some stories, wrote labels, and had new lessons like egg peeling and discovering what is magnetic or not magnetic. We made mint tea with the mint in our garden, and a salad with homemade dressing with our greens! We made it to Berkeley Park once this week and had lots of fun at the playground. In extended day we have been reading Charlotte’s Web and having lots of time playing in the sprinkler! I’d say it’s been a very successful first week of camp!

The elementary trip to Camp Namanu

Our elementary children took a 3 day, 2 night trip to Camp Namanu in early May. An excellent time was had by all. We are excited to make this a Puddletown tradition.

Enjoy the photos!

pasta dinner

On Friday the elementary students finally got to host their first pasta dinner. The children started planning weeks ago by designing a menu, making fliers, gathering supplies, and creating a shopping list.

On Friday they prepared salad, salad dressing, bread and butter, pasta sauce, pasta and meatballs.

We set up the room and welcomed our esteemed guests. It was a wonderful evening.

There are still a few spots left if you’d like to join us this Friday evening at 5:30. The cost is $30 for a family of 4. Tips are greatly appreciated.

All proceeds go towards the elementary trip to Camp Namanu.

Special thanks to Pastaworks, Otto’s and Grand Central Bakery!
