Sage
It was super rainy. It was raining cats and dogs. There is a new person who watched us outside. Her name is Eirinn. Brooklyn made pizza today. We tried listening to music wight the lights on at lunch. Holland was absent again. Peyton’s mom was in the garden. There is a new writing work for writing stories. We also have Valentine card making. We have new place cards for our extended day work tables.
Cedar
Someone got a lesson on the hundred chain. Iyla made the pizza dough and Estella made the pizza. The weather was cold, windy, rainy and freezing. Sparrow was absent. We practiced singing “Baby Beluga.”
Lavender
Kimberley laminated some interesting doll cards and some pictures of beards and mustaches. We are our blueberry bread for snack this morning and it so good we wanted more. We also had apples. Emmy made new job charts for next week. We heard it is supposed to be sunny next week and we are looking forward to it!
Doug Fir Weekly
This week we missed Emmett who was sick for a couple of days. We were all happy to see him come back on Thursday. We have all been working hard on our multiplication this week using the long bead frame, bead bars and chains. We have also been exploring adding and subtracting fractions. Amelia had a lesson on the Solstices and Equinoxes and had fun making origami paper into fractions as well as animals! We are growing some plants in the classroom in preparation for studying about roots. Brooklyn visited us on Thursday. It was her 6th birthday! She is excited to join us next fall and we are excited too!
