Puddletown started as one classroom taught by Sam Montaña Gardner and Andrea Ludlow. They met at a local Montessori school where Andrea was running the after-school theater program and Sam was teaching in the middle school. They hit it off and a few years later began looking for a space. With a puppet show to introduce Puddletown School to the community our doors opened in 2004 with 20 eager children.
Since then, Puddletown has grown to three mixed-age primary classrooms and two elementary classrooms. We serve over 95 families with children ages three to twelve and continue to grow and learn from the children and families we meet each year. We are an accredited Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) school and affiliated with the Oregon Montessori Association (OMA).
